BY NG, YI XIANG
If you would like to start taking or have better photos taken of you while enjoying your trek this sharing is for you! TAPE is an acronym for the four essential aspects of trekking and photography which the speaker named. They are Technicality, Art, Physical and Editing.
Technicality refers to the ability to use photographic equipment in more challenging environment. Camera ranges from smartphone, m43, mirrorless and to DSLR. We will focus more on digital then film for now.
Art refers to the photographic seeing instead of just looking at things naturally. It requires effort to observe and analyse the best camera position and angle with respect to the scene and mood to portray.
Physical refers to one physical fitness in terms of agility, strength and endurance during trekking and photography.
Editing refers to the post-processing of the photos to enhance the mood. Sometimes it is hard to get everything right in camera when looking in less convenient situation, minor editing such as cropping and rotating and lighting adjustment are usually acceptable.
